Robs BBQ Shack
An Outdoor Entertaining Area built from a Shipping Container
So how was Robs BBQ Shack built?
First we cut out portals for windows and installed heavy window frames, these were then furnished with storm hatch style shutters. These items were roughed up and and given a distressed look to accommodate the beach feel. A floating deck system was then built around two edges and finished with a Merbau face plate. A tallow hard wood bar was installed in one of the portals and this was accompanied with a surf board bench seat. We added a BBQ and voila there you have Robs BBQ Shack!
What was it used for?
It was used for a Lyon Nathan project where they have been asking punters to submit a concept that they think would go well on “ XXXX Island”, this is Robs concept.
It was a perfect opportunity for us to showcase our shipping containers and how they can be modified to create a functional entertaining area. Have a look at the below pictures that show the hard work Rob has put into his BBQ shack.
