You know we modify a lot of standard containers, but did you know we can modify specialised containers also? Check out this Modified Side Opening Container that we built for one of our customers. The container was going to a mine site where it’s contents had to be kept at a steady temperature. They required easy access where they could load their goods in from the front or side of the container. We designed this Modified Side Opening Container as a solution to their needs as a refigerated container would not be practical for loading. Weinstalled two air conditioners which can be remotely operated off site. One can be used at any time and the other set as a redundancy if the other breaks down. There is also a steel mesh door that protects the heads of the air conditioners when loading the Modified Side Opening Container.

The container was also fully insulated to cut down on the outside heat. As the shipping container needed to be built as robust as possible, we replaced the standard marine ply flooring with heavy duty steel checker plate. This ensures that this Modified Side Opening Container will stand the test of time loading and unloading at regular intervals.
